Allergens & Recipes

Can you adjust recipes to change the amount of sugar?

No, we can’t. In baking, recipes are scientific formulas that ensure products have the right taste, texture, and stability. Adding or removing quantities of certain ingredients negatively affects the final product.

Can you accommodate allergies or special requests?

We do our best to accommodate allergies and special requests. While we take great care to prevent cross-contamination in our facility, please note that there is still a risk since it is not an allergen-free kitchen.

The most common allergens that we use in our kitchen are:

  • Eggs
  • Dairy (including but not limited to butter and milk)
  • Peanuts
  • Soy
  • Tree nuts (including but not limited to almonds, pecans, and walnuts)
  • Wheat

For special orders, make sure to discuss any allergies and special requests with our staff before placing your order. We’re happy to discuss special requests on an individual basis.

Custom Orders

How much do custom cakes cost?

To ensure consistency in pricing, the cost of custom orders is based on the following criteria:

  • Design complexity
  • Size (e.g., number of servings, quantity, etc.)
  • Style (e.g., fondant or buttercream cake)
  • Time required to complete the order

Custom cake orders are priced during the consultation. We are not able to give quotes on any custom order over the phone.

How do I order a custom cake? How long does it take?

To order a custom cake, fill out the form found here. Be sure to include any design inspiration so we can get a sense of what you’re looking for.

Most custom cakes require 1-3 weeks from design to pick up, depending on the specifications.

All custom orders require confirmation via phone call and payment before the order is final.

Do you require a deposit for custom orders?

Yes, all custom orders require a deposit before they can be confirmed. The order is not final until we have received the deposit. We accept deposits of 50% for payments completed in person. Payments using e-transfer must be completed in full prior to confirmation. We do require a phone call confirmation for all custom orders placed remotely.

Can I send you design inspiration pictures for my custom cake?

Yes! We encourage you to share any design inspiration photos. It helps us understand exactly what you’re looking for from your custom cake.

With that in mind, remember that all of our custom cakes are completely unique – we don’t copy designs from other bakers or artists.

Can I cancel my custom order once it’s placed?
Yes, you can cancel your order at any time, but we are not able to refund any payments put toward the order. In some cases, you may be eligible to receive store credit for the amount paid.
Do you offer refunds?
No, we don’t offer refunds on any amount paid toward a custom order. Once the deposit is paid, the order is final sale.
Can I make changes to my order once it’s placed?

In some cases, yes. Email us at or call the shop at 604 572 7933 as soon as possible. Be sure to include your name and your order number.

We will do our best to accommodate changes, but it’s not guaranteed due to production schedules, time limitations, and work already underway.

I have a last-minute order - can you help?

I sent an email to the boutique recently. Why haven’t I received a response?
Due to high volumes of communications, please allow 24-48 hours for a response via email. If you still haven’t heard back from us after 48 hours, you can follow up with a phone call to the boutique at 604 572 7933 and we will assist you right away.

Yes! We have a daily selection of fully decorated cakeaway options ready to go. Sizes and flavours rotate regularly.
